HISTORY MAKER - Jack Roosevelt Robinson. He spent one season with the Monarchs. Stats from The Negro Leagues Book by Dick Clark show Robinson getting 63 hits in 163 at-bats in 47 games. Robinson had 14 doubles, 4 triples, and 5 home runs, with 13 stolen bases. That's a .387 batting average and a .613 slugging percentage. The following year, Robinson would play with Montreal (International League) and hit .349 before going to the Brooklyn Dodgers, in 1947, and hitting .297.
