- Played at Gustavus Adolphus College
- Youth coach for the Edina Baseball Association Day Program since 2004
- Volunteer coach in the East Tonka & South Tonka Little League Programs
- Matt has a Master's Degree in Teaching and is a lifelong student of the game of baseball
- Certified Coach - Instructor with the National Youth Sports Coaches Association and National
Alliance for Youth Sports
