ROB SCHNEIDER | Owner, Senior 1 Instructor
Player: Captain, leading hitter and team MVP in Senior Season at the University of North Dakota. 2 time North Central Conference All-academic Team. 2 seasons with the Grand Forks Elks amateur baseball club, leading team in batting. Played 18 seasons with the Minneapolis Angels amateur baseball club, contributing to 3 Minnesota Class A state titles and named to the state all-tournament team two times.
Coach: Youth baseball coach and umpire in East Grand Forks for 6 seasons for players ages 7-18. Head Coach EGF VFW baseball team (15/6U) for 2 seasons, leading the team to a district championship and state tournament. Assistant Coach with the EGF American Legion baseball team for 1 season. Head Coach and Manager of the Grand Forks Elks amateur baseball club for 2 seasons. Assistant Coach for 5 seasons with players ages 6-12 with Hopkins Area Little League. Head Coach for 2 season with players ages 10-12 with Hopkins Area Little League. Head Coach Wayzata Junior Legion for 4 seasons.

KEVIN NUNN | Owner, Senior 1 Instructor
Player: U of MN-Crookston (led the nation in batting average); 1986 Team USA player; signed with the San Francisco Giants and played several years in the independent minor leagues
Coach: Currently Hitting Coach at Century CC where he has developed several All-American players and Associate Scout with the Texas Rangers. Formerly a Coach and Scout with Baseball Factory and served as a scout for the Twins and Toronto Blue Jays
Instructor: Hitting consultant for Mississippi State; Hitting Instructor of Minnesota Twins Youth Camps
MATT WELTERS | Co-Owner, Director of Operations, Head of Pine Tar Academy Strength, Speed & Conditioning
NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, Certified Kettlebell Coach, NSPA-Certified Speed and Agility Coach
In addition to being part owner of Pine Tar Academy Matt also own Fuse Fitness Coaching, a training studio in Champlin MN. Matt has been a trainer for 15 years and have helped over 80 athletes from various sports play at the next level.
Matt loves working with baseball players helping them run faster, throw harder, increase exit velo and prevent injuries while improving mobility.
Matt has been working with a lot of Pine Tar Academy athletes over the last years including his two boys, Ray and Jack. Matt designed the Pine Tar Academy's current warm up program as well as our speed training program.

JOE KVIDT | General Manager, Club Director, Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Four-year letter winner at Sacred Heart High School in East Grand Forks, MN. Played collegiate baseball at Hamline University. Played Amateur Baseball for the EGF Heaters, Crookston Reds, and EGF Mass
Coach: Grand Forks Youth Baseball Coach (2011-2015). 15u All-Star Coach in East Grand Forks, MN (2016). EGF Post 157 Sr. Legion Pitching Coach (2016). Westphal Sr. Legion Assistant Coach (2017). EGF Post 157 Jr. Legion Head Coach (2018). Wayzata Jr. Legion Assistant/Pitching Coach (2019-2021). Pine Tar Academy Coach (2016-Present)
Instructor: Pine Tar Academy instructor since 2016. Specializes in Pitching. Rapsodo Pitching Certified Instructor.
Griffin Schneider | Hitting Director, Assistant Club Director, Assistant General Manager, Senior 2 Instructor
Player: 2 time All-American at Century College; 3 year starter at Wagner College a D1 school in NYC. Played for Pine Tar teams when they were first created and has been involved with Pine Tar Academy since 2008 as a player and coach. Played professional baseball in the USPBL.
Coach: Coaching at Pine Tar Academy since 2018.
Instructor: Specializing in hitting since 2013.
RONN VAN KREVELEN | Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Played at Cooper High School and was a 4 year started at the University of Minnesota. Played with the 1982 Big Ten Champions Gopher team. Drafted by the Minnesota Twins and played 2 seasons in the minor leagues.
Coach: Assistant coach from 2018 to present with Plymouth New Hope youth programs. Assistant coach with Pine Tar Academy from 2020 to present.
Instructor: Independent instructor specializing in hitting since 2019
JOHN WEBB | Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Pitched 3 years at Augsburg College earning Honorable Mention All - Conference. While at Augsburg, was selected to play on a US National team to play over seas in an Olympic qualifying tournament. Before going to Augsburg, was a varsity pitcher for the Blaine Bengals.
Coach: 10th grade coach at Blaine High School since 2017. I have been coaching at the high school level since 2007. Also, head American Legion coach for Blaine / Ham Lake; where in the summer of 2017 they took second in state and went to regionals in Dickinson, ND. I have been coaching American Legion baseball since 2012.

ERIC CARPENTER | Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Clair Wood Ducks Amatuer Baseball, Mankato West High School/Mankato National American Legion. Primary position: catcher.
Coach: Mankato Summer Travel coach, Assistant Coach at Pine Tar since 2018.
Instructor: Mankato Area Youth Baseball Association instructor 2016-present, Consultant for South Central MN area HS programs, Instructor at Pine Tar since 2018. Specializes in teaching youth and high school players the basic and advanced skills required to be an elite catcher.
JIM NUNN | Senior 1 Instructor
Player: All-American pitcher at Concordia St. Paul; 3-year legion starter in East Grand Forks
Coach: 24 years experience as a HS baseball coach; Currently in fourth season as Fire Club head coach; 3 seasons as St. Louis Park HS Head Varsity Baseball Coach; 9 seasons Minnetonka HS Head Varsity Coach; 4 seasons Breck School Head Varsity Coach; Also served 4 years as college baseball coach
Instructor: Runs youth baseball programs for Edina Baseball Association and Pine Tar Academy
Sam Petrick | Senior 2 Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer, Level 1 U.S. Olympic Weightlifting certified, NCSF certified personal, NSPA certified athletic performance coach
Player: I grew up playing hockey and baseball all the way through high school; 4 years at Hamline University in St.
Paul as a relief/closing pitcher.
Coach: 7 years of experience as a personal trainer.
Instructor: Leads Pine Tar Academy Speed, Strength, and Conditioning program. Specializes in pitching instruction.
TREVOR SCHILTZ | Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Four-year letter winner and Captain, Team-voted MVP, and Ace of staff Senior season at Hibbing High School
Instructor: Driveline-certified Youth Baseball instructor and trained athletes ages 10-16 at Driveline Baseball in Kent, WA. Trained pitching, hitting, and defense utilizing cutting-edge baseball technology.
Other: Extensive experience with data and analytics in baseball. Baseball scout for Inside Edge Sports Analytics. Driveline-certified in Foundations of Hitting.
Tom Skoro | Senior 2 Instructor, Pitching Coordinator
Player: Pitched 2 seasons at NIACC and was named to the all-conference and all-region teams both years. Went on to pitch at the University of Missouri for one year prior to transferring to the University of Minnesota for 2 years, where he finished his college career.
Coach: Coached at MN Gopher Camps. Coaching at Pine Tar Academy 2021.
Instructor: Specializes in Pitching.
MATT MOSIMAN | Senior 1 Instructor
Player: Played college baseball at Gustavus Adolphus
Coach: Currently the 10th grade coach for Wayzata High School. Previously worked with the Minnetonka, Edina and Hopkins HS programs. Longtime coach for the Minnetonka Baseball Association (including recent 1st and 2nd place finishes at the 14/15A Metro State Baseball Tournament). Still active in providing youth clinics for area programs.
Instructor: Instructional expertise spans hitting, pitching, fielding and catching
DOUGE SCHILDGEN | Senior 2 Instructor
Player: Played at DeLaSalle High School, North Hennepin CC and Augsburg College. Played and managed the Minneapolis Warriors men’s amateur team.
Coach: Presently Assistant Baseball Coach at St. Anthony HS. 25 years of head coaching experience at DeLaSalle HS, North Hennepin CC and Augsburg College. 19 years as JV Basketball Coach at DeLaSalle and Brooklyn Center HS.
Instructor: 20+ years of running or working youth camps and clinics. 500+hours of individual and small group baseball instruction. Instructor at Pine Tar since 2021
