To best determine if you are a right fit for our College baseball recruiting program, a sit-down, in-person interview is the first step. From there, we take you through a step-by-step educational process to help you find the best academic and college baseball program that fits your wants/needs. This process should start in your freshman year as your grades become a powerful predictor of the academic and athletic scholarship money you could receive from college programs. The college recruiting process can be very hard to navigate on your own. Not knowing the process, the timing of certain aspects, and what to look for can cost you thousands of dollars.

Plan your recruiting timeline

The Recruiting Year begins June 1st of the academic year you will be in the fall. For example, an 8th-grade student begins their freshman recruiting year on June 1st (sometimes before the school year has ended).

If a player enters the program after the freshman year, the freshman-year (introductory/start-up) fee will be added to the academic-year cost for the year the player is enrolled.

Pine Tar Academy player is a player who has participated in summer club play and winter training.

Freshman/Introductory Start Up

Profile set up.
Base testing sports science and baseball skills analytics
Attend the PTA annual recruiting meeting and class on the effects of academic grades and social media.

Pine Tar Academy player - $450 for the year

Non Pine Tar Academy player - $500 for the year

Junior Year

Update 3rd-year testing scores.
Develop and start implementing plans for showcases, college camps, and visits.
Emails and calls are sent to interested collegiate programs to gauge their interest.
Assess physical skill sets and steer towards the right college level of play.
Up to six one-on-one sessions with an advisor to discuss specific plans, talk about ACT/SAT.
Players at this level will now start the college recruiting process, as coaches can speak to them and have them on campus.
Develop and implement a plan to reach out to college coaches and the schools that players are interested in.

Pine Tar Academy player - $1,250 for the year

Non Pine Tar Academy player - $1,750 for the year

Sophomore Year

Update 2nd-year testing scores.
Two one-on-one sessions (parents and player) on potential academic career path, school selection, and a plan for checking out proper schools to fit the goals of student athletes, social media, and extracurricular activities that can help with school acceptance.
Start looking at possible showcases to showcase your baseball skills.
Discuss the transfer of projectable skills to suitable collegiate baseball programs.

Pine Tar Academy player - $900 for the year

Non Pine Tar Academy player - $1,250 for the year

Senior Year

Update 4th-year testing scores.
Really dive into the college program that you have shown interest in.
Review the college wish list, assess its current status, and re-evaluate as needed.
Contact coaches, review offers, and find a suitable place to play.
Create a backup plan in case plan "A" doesn't work out.
Have a fallback plan(s).
Up to 12 one-on-one sessions with an advisor.

Non Pine Tar Academy player - $2,000 for the year
