Release your Inner Dawg:
To be the "Dawg" you have to beat the dawg. This is a play on a quote by wrestler Ric Flair. Players will take a look into their inner dawgs as they navigate topics in Resiliency, Adversity, Aggression, Body language, Self Talk, and Focus. They will learn to feed their inner dawgs making bigger and bigger strides in mastering their abilities to release that inner dawg on command and dominate the fight against the competition. Learn to not only dominate in games, learn how to dominate in practice which contributes to having the speed of the game slow down.
P.E.R.C.-olate- The Pitching Emotional Roller Coaster:
Pitching is the art of instilling fear - Sandy Koufax. Learning how to control emotions on the mound is the single most important aspect of the art of pitching. Pitchers experience lots of psychological and physiological changes during games. Learning how to quickly identify when either of these aspects is being tested, elevated and changing in a negative way can reduce the amount of adversity the pitcher will face if these get out of control. Breathing techniques, quick meditation, extreme focus/concentration, and learning all the emotions and which ones affect us the most can distinguish the flames of chaos that can cause pitchers to abandon their peak performance.
