Juan Berenguer

Juan Berenguer, nicknamed "Señor Smoke" or "Pancho Villa," is a Panamanian former MLB pitcher (1978–1992) known for his high-90s fastball and intimidating presence. He won two World Series championships (1984 Tigers, 1987 Twins) and recorded a career 67-62 record with a 3.90 ERA over 490 appearances. Now known for his friendly smile and his love for the game of baseball, you can find Juan around local baseball fields and at the Pine Tar facility teaching pitching and giving high level baseball perspectives to players. Juan enjoys being around family and friends, talking baseball and giving back to baseball what baseball gave him.
